Kindergarten Teachers’ attitude towards using some Arabic applications in tablets (iPad) to improve Reading Readiness skills of kindergartners

Abstract

This study aims to identify the kindergarten teachers' attitudes towards using some Arabic iPad applications to improve the reading readiness skills of kindergartens in Riyadh. The study also examines the differences in kindergarten teachers' attitudes towards using Arabic iPad applications, with regard to variables (experience, training courses, academic qualification). The researcher used the descriptive method of the survey. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and the study sample was represented in a random sample of (360) teachers. The results showed the following :Kindergarten teachers in Riyadh responded with “Agree” to using an Arabic iPad application to improve reading readiness skills in kindergartens in Riyadh.

Kindergarten teachers, in the city of Riyadh, responded with “OK”, to the barriers of using Arabic iPad applications, to improve reading readiness skills in kindergartens in Riyadh, by kindergarten teachers.

There are no statistically significant differences within (kindergarten teachers’ attitudes towards the use of Arabic iPad applications according to years of experience and academic qualification, and the results showed the presence of statistically significant differences with regard to the differences in training courses for the employment of modern technologies in One or more training sessions.
