Flipped Classroom Strategy for activiating Self-learning and improving attitudes Towards mathematics among seventh Graders

Abstract

The aim of the research is to reveal the effectiveness of the flipped classroom in activating self-learning and attitudes towards mathematics among the seventh grade students. The experimental approach was used in a quasi-experimental design, and the quantitative and qualitative descriptive approach, and the study was applied to a sample consisting of (79) students from the seventh grade students at Samir Abdel Hadi School, where two classes were chosen, one of them as an experimental group consisting of (40) students who were taught the unit of engineering and measurement. According to the flipped classroom strategy, and the other as a control group consisting of (39) students who studied in the usual way. The effectiveness of the flipped classroom strategy in improving the attitudes of the seventh grade students, and on activating and improving their self-learning in mathematics for the benefit of the experimental group that was taught using the flipped classroom strategy, the researchers recommended using the flipped classroom strategy in teaching and leanring.
