Abstract

The research aims to reach new and qualitative concepts about the term "Remnants of administrative decision-making processes" and to identify the extent of the presence of these remnants in the internal work environment of Al-Aqsa University in Gaza.To accomplish this goals, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method. A questionnaire was designed to measure the opinions of university officials on the phenomenon and distributed to workers with supervisory responsibilities who are 46 officials, and 38 of them responded to the research, and the total number of valid questionnaires was 31. Among the most important results that the researcher reached: Most of the respondents see with statistical significance (a<= 5%) that the internal work environment is not polluted due to the small emissions resulting from the decision-making processes. He also formulated a definition for the first time of the concept of "decision-making remnants" as follows: "Those emissions harmful to the internal work environment, resulting from the misuse of the resources needed for administrative decision-making processes." The research also recommended a further rationing in the use of the resources needed for making administrative decisions, an increased interest in information management and increased transparency, as well as the formulation of pollution measurement models for the internal work environment in order to monitor the rate of pollution and evaluate its causes.
