measuring the awareness role of the educational counselor with regards to reducing the damages of electronic extortion in the schools of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate

Abstract

This study aims at measuring the awareness role of the educational counselor with regards to reducing the damages of electronic extortion in the schools of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. For this purpose, a four-axis questionnaire was designed. These four axes deal with the awareness role of the educational counselor with students, school principals, teaching staff and students’ families. The study population consists of 114 male and female counselors. The study was conducted on a sample of 65 counselors.  Among the results which the study came up with is that the total grade on all the axes was big and reached 83% except for the axis of the role of the educational counselor with students which was very big and reached 85%. Moreover, the results show that there are differences with regards to the awareness role of the educational counselor in reducing the damages of electronic extortion attributed to the gender variable in the axis of the teaching staff in favor of males.
