The Obstacles’ attitude towards using some Arabic applications in tablets (iPad) to improve Reading Readiness skills of Kindergarten Teachers

Abstract

     This study aims to aims to identify barriers to use iPad Arabic applications, to improve reading readiness skills of kindergartner in Riyadh, by female kindergarten teachers. The study also investigates differences within kindergarten teachers' trends towards using iPad Arabic applications, with respect to (experience, training courses, and academic qualification) variables. The researcher used the survey descriptive approach. Data were gathered using the questionnaire, the study sample was represented in a random sample of (360) teachers. Results showed the following:

Results showed that the most significant barriers are (the high cost of purchasing devices and applications, to use Arabic applications in improving reading readiness skills of kindergartners, limit its function, and the high cost of internet connection to use Arabic applications in improving reading readiness skills. limit also its function).

There were no statically significant differences within (kindergarten teachers' trends towards using iPad Arabic applications, by the difference of years of experience and academic qualification. Results showed that there are statically significant differences, with respect to differences in training courses of employing modern technologies in education. Results showed that these differences came in favor of those with three or more training courses
