This article explored the degree to which vocational education (VE) teachers in basic stage acknowledge their professional development in public schools in Ajloun directorate of education. It shed a light on the professional development programs that target VE teachers in basic stage. It aimed to improve the practices of those teachers in classroom. The researcher reviewed the relevant literature. She used the interview method as a data collection method. She selected a simple random sample that consists from 40 female and male VE teachers chosen from the basic public schools in Ajloon directorate of education. She found that there is a major need for developing those teachers professionally. Those teachers must keep up with the latest scientific and technological developments. The researcher found that the process of developing teachers professionally must be connected to the competencies that must be possessed by teachers. She recommends exerting effort to increase the training courses given to VE teachers in order for those teachers to develop themselves by themselves. She recommends encouraging educational supervisors to assists and guide VE in order to develop their professional performance.
