Abstract

The Jordanian government was forced to shift to distance education during the Coronavirus pandemic to prevent the virus from spreading. Thus, this article explored the extent of satisfaction of the parents of the basic school students with distance education during the Coronavirus pandemic in Jordan. The researcher employed the descriptive analytical approach to meet the sought goals. The population involves all the parents of the basic school students in Jordan. The researcher designed a questionnaire through Google Form. She uploaded the questionnaire link to several Facebook groups in order to be filled by the parents of basic school students in Jordan. 170 mothers and 140 fathers filled in the questionnaire form. Thus, the sample in this article is a random sample. The researcher analysed the forms through SPSS and scientific statistical analysis methods. She found that extent of satisfaction of the parents of the basic school students with distance education during the Coronavirus pandemic in Jordan is high. In addition, she found that distance education improves student’s creative thinking and understanding for the material
