Civil Protection of Trademark in International Conventions and Sudanese Law

Abstract

       The study presented the civil protection of the trade mark in International Conventions and Sudanese Law 1969. The study aimed at recognizing the trademark, its types, its forms, and to explain the accordance of  Sudanese Law with international conventions on the regards of  the protecting  the trademark. The study followed the comparative and the descriptive approach. The study approached to many findings, the most important ones: Sudanese Law 1969 of trademark protection was in accordance with international conventions in protecting the trademark and the legal method for the protection of the trademark in Sudanese Law provide a room for illegal competition. The study recommended with: the importance of registration of trademark so the owners can make use of due protection  in law.
